Renting out or selling a MEXC account with a minus PNL
If you would rather hand the account over than watch it trade, there are two routes: rent it out for the length of a cycle, or sell it. Both start from the same review of the numbers.
What is checked before a deal
The same list whether the account is rented or sold.
- The depth of the negative futures PNL
- The age of the account and the shape of its history
- Whether the loss is recent or spread across a year
- Fee overhead as a share of the total loss
- How access is transferred and whether escrow is used
- Whether the origin of the account is clean
How a handover goes
Four steps, and the first one is not a payment.
Numbers first
The real negative PNL per account. Without it nothing can be quoted, and any number offered before it is invented.
Route chosen
Rent for the length of a cycle, or an outright sale. They price differently, so it is worth saying which one you want early.
Terms and escrow
Who holds the deal, how access moves, what happens at the end of the period. All of it agreed in the chat before anything is handed over.
Handover
Access is transferred on the agreed terms and the account goes into work. For rent, it comes back at the end of the period.
From the chat
Members who handed accounts over rather than running them.
Three months without opening it. I assumed writing it off was simpler, and it turned out there was a price for it.

No pressure and no percentages quoted. A range, and an explanation of what the range depended on.

Each of my accounts was costed on its own. One was told to wait, the other went straight into work.

Questions about renting and selling
The practical ones.
Why does an account in the red have any value?
Is escrow required?
What is the difference between rent and sale?
Can you quote a price without the numbers?
